Fahmi Johan Syah M.Pd, this Teaching Campus is the 3rd time in a row to become Field Supervisor (DPL), as well as Mr. Surya Jatmika, M.Pd., and Mrs. Dhany Efita Sari, M.Pd each of whom was elected as the second Field Advisor (DPL).
The Teaching Campus Program itself is a program initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture and is expected to be able to provide a separate experience for both the students who carry out it and the lecturers who accompany it. Currently, the Teaching Campus has entered its 3rd Batch and is very popular among students.
The Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Makarim explained that the Teaching Campus is a new curriculum idea that focuses on literacy and numeracy and strengthening the profile of Pancasila students. The background behind this curriculum is to restore the learning loss experienced by students due to the pandemic. Therefore, students participating in this year’s Teaching Campus are given the challenge of collaborating with educators in the regions to maximize the implementation of this curriculum.
For the last eighteen years Indonesia has ranked at the bottom for literacy and numeracy scores and the pandemic has made our homework to catch up even more challenging. Indonesia needs students to become partners with teachers in developing interesting literacy and numeracy lessons. This opportunity will hone students’ social skills and character, especially creativity, leadership, and other interpersonal skills through this experience.
