Various activities are aimed at accommodating the wishes of students and lecturers in the success of the MBKM program. Equally important, Accounting Education continues to improve the quality of the curriculum which is also an indicator of the quality of MBKM. Through the Curriculum Development Acceleration grant program facilitated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Higher Education Technology (Kemenristek Dikti), the FKIP Muhammadiyah University Surakarta Accounting Education study program successfully passed the selection and was selected as one of the recipients of the Innovative Higher Education Curriculum Development Acceleration Grant, Adaptive, and Collaborative working with partners towards Center of Excellence.

Based on the announcement no: 2835/E2/DM.00.01/2022 Kemendikbudristek RI, the Accounting Education Study Program was selected along with 85 other study programs throughout Indonesia which had gone through a long selection process, as well as being the only study program at UMS that received an accelerated curriculum development grant .

Quoted from the Dikti page, accelerated curriculum development is a program held to respond to very fast changes and developments and to improve the quality of graduates to meet the needs of the world of work in the future. Reorienting the study program curriculum is carried out by changing the approach mindset, namely a rigid content-based curriculum to an innovative, adaptive, and collaborative learning achievement-based curriculum with partners towards a center of excellence, especially outside the campus environment.

In addition, the demands of 21st century skills and the era of society 5.0 need to be adapted to the curriculum of PT. The Ministry of Education and Culture then facilitated by opening funding proposals for assistance to selected study programs, so that they could accelerate the development of the latest curriculum. The amount of assistance provided ranges from 50-60 million which is used for the purpose of accelerating the curriculum towards a center of excellence. This grant program is considered appropriate considering that currently the Accounting Education study program is also preparing towards FIBAA international accreditation.
