Belmawa Kemendikbud Research and Technology conducts Monitoring and Evaluation of Curriculum Acceleration Grants for the Accounting Education Study Program

Thursday (03/11/2022), Accounting Education was selected to host the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities on curriculum acceleration grants. This grant is assistance from the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology to help accelerate study programs related to adjustments to the MBKM (Merdeka Learning – Merdeka Campus) program.

In this monitoring and evaluation activity, the Belmawa monitoring and evaluation team consisted of Prof. Edy Cahyono, Dr. Sri Suning Kusumawardhani, Arif Pangaribowo and Nur Masyitoh Syam. Meanwhile, the study programs that were monitored consisted of the Accounting Education Study Program at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, the English Language Education Study Program at the University of Dian Nuswantoro, and the Chemical Engineering Study Program at the Setia Budi University.

The Accounting Education Study Program conveys the progress of the preparation and implementation of the latest curriculum which has been put into use in this new school year. Implementation so far includes the form of granting credit conversion rights through MBKM activities (Teaching Campus, Certified Internships, Free Student Exchange, and other MBKM programs). Students are also given the option to take OBE (Outcome-Based Education) to replace their final thesis assignment, and use project-based courses. In addition, the study program also cooperates with partner stakeholders which include MSME practitioners, schools, and banks. This partner consideration adjusts the tracer study results and produces graduate profiles.

It can be said that the study program’s curriculum adjustment has progressed up to 90% because since before the emergence of the accelerated grant program, the study program had initiated changes to the study program’s curriculum. So that when the UMS Accounting Education Study Program is declared to have passed as a grant recipient, this can really be used to accelerate the latest curriculum, facilitate student MBKM activities and expand the distribution of communication with partners.
